HScott Motorsports Withdraws Team for 2017

HScott Motorsports will not field teams for the 2017 season in NASCAR’s premier series, according to a statement from the team.

HSM fielded two full-time entries for 2015-16 in NASCAR’s Sprint Cup Series, most recently with drivers Clint Bowyer in the team’s No. 15 Chevrolet and Michael Annett in the No. 46 Chevrolet.

Bowyer ended the ’16 season 27th in points; Annett placed 36th.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles CEO Sergio Marchionne has hinted Dodge could make a return to NASCAR.

According to multiple reports, Marchionne talked about the possibility during the Ferrari Finali Mondiali at Daytona International Speedway on Sunday afternoon, stating he recently spoke to NASCAR Executive Vice President Jim France.

Johnny Sauter clinched his first NASCAR Camping World Truck Championship at Homestead Miami Speedway with a third place finish Friday night.

The Last Qualifying Effort Another Top 10

HOMESTEAD, Fla. (Nov. 18, 2016) – Martin Truex Jr. will start sixth in the final Sprint Cup Series race of the season.

Truex’s qualifying effort Friday at Homestead-Miami Speedway is the 25th time this season that he will have a starting position in the top 10. He ended the season with a 9.1 qualifying average, three positions better than his previous season best of 12.1, set in 2012.
