Looks like the f-8ers need to get together and talk to the powers that be about qualifying. The old tried and true method of the standard timing device can take care of that issue.. I agree that the f-8's should be allowed to qualify, even if it would be every other race night for tme. JMO

Talked to Jim Friday and he said we would know by Sat whether or not we are going to qualify. I say do how they used to with the good ol stop watch. Something is better than nothing. Hopefully it will work out for us.

If they have the old red laser light system, they can bring it out just for the Figure 8's like they did before Qualifing was stopped. Good Luck to all the racers!

I dont ever remember using the laser for F8's. I remeber using them for anything that crossed the start/finish line on the front stretch but nevr in the 8's. Not saying it can't be done just don't know if the lin eis still there and operational. Might have been removed last year as the tech guy sucked last year. How long did it take to get MyLaps working for the field.

They may have just used a stop watch to time the F8's . but the laser deal might be a bit of a problem getting lined up and zeroed in. I just hope the track allows the 8's to time in as it is one of the regular divisions at the track and it would only be fair. I know the 8's got just one lap to qualify so it's not like it would really be a time issue. Just get some one in scoring on a stop watch and let'em go to it!!
