The topic of the thread is the Pro-Truck meeting. We have gotten off the topic a little bit.

dynamitedave Hope you will be at the meeting to share your thoughts on how to make the Pro-Trucks a better division.

What has happened in the past is just that PAST. We all need to look to our future and make it better from this point forward.

Where have they gone

Why is everyone pointing fingers and not asking the questions of the drivers that have left the division. Beau Kellogg, Adam Deines, Billy Harkins, Gerry Gardner, Eric Meisner. But that is not the only people that should be questioned. You need to look to Roger and Richard and ask them why they still want to be in the Truck class and not jump to the LM class. Get the drivers that have left, the owners like George and ask why they are not there week in and week out and then get the guys that are there week in and week out why they remain. After that then you can start talking about the rules, the payouts, the management, the bump in 2 and 4, whatever you want but with out the history of why people left and why people stayed it will be the same old song.

Beau Kellogg--his truck was owned by Goerge Green. Eggleston drove it last and it hasnt ran since an altercation with another truck and a concrete wall in 2009ish.

Adam Deines--primary focus is on his Late Model.

Billy Harkins--think he will be back in 2012, he ran last part of 2011.

Gerry Gardner--no truck, sold to someone in the springs that is using it for Hill Climb I believe.

Eric Meisner--will be there in 2012 I believe.

A rubbed off oil pan cost the truck class one brand new truck for 4 or 5 weeks. This is an incorrect statement. The fact that another truck lost parts is the correct statment! I truly hope that words of wisdom will come from this meeting. The last big truck meeting the track changed the motor rule so that a person could and would bring out his two trucks. This allowed dirt late model motors to run. Those two trucks never showed. Then two years later they showed and were allowed to run. Rule book is only as good as it is enforced. So lets have a good productive meeting and hopfully a GREAT result!!

I think Richard hit it on the nose, get a set rule book, and follow it. Not only in the trucks but in every division. if your car is found with something wrong your DQ, plain and simple. None of this fix it next week or just dock them a few positions, put your foot down and show everyone that you are going to go by the rule book, a IMO i think you will start to get people to come back.

That is why your a veteran because you know everything, yes opened the motor rule up for me if that is what your saying and after that I have had justin in the truck I bought and we showed up with the dirt motors ran a good lap time for the first time and got called to tec after hot laps to be told to start off with putting 100 pounds on and then had to run a 390 carb with it im sure I can pick who put there heads together to come up with that and the at the same meeting we open up shock rule .
