Sorry to hear about that, I was in the process of scanning some old Pikes Peak Speedway photos of my dad's car to send to him.

Any particular reason he's pulling the site down?

I have no idea. Unless Daniel was ready to bring it to an end.

Keep scanning Alan. And keep my name in mind. Things are being worked on in the background.

It's a real shame. Maybe he could be contacted about having a third party run the site for Dan, I know its a lot of work to run a site that is that indepth. Maybe he would concider it. If not THANKS Dan for all you have done.

This is a sad thing!! I was on the site just yesterday hashing over some of the "memories" with a friend. I sure hope there is a way to save the site!!! I, too was in the process of submitting some info to Dan also. If this is true, thanks, Dan for the memories. (Hope it is not true)

I am very sorry to hear about this.. I had no idea this was coming down the pike.. I contributed a lot of material to the site and I honestly would hate to see the site disappear into the abyss.. Rick.. I hope whatever you are working on will save this wonderful place of racing memories. It has been a source of countless joy for a huge fan base. I am hoping my continuing research will have a place to be added.... Dan.. What you began a few years back is a monumental task, I know, and I along with so many others, thank you deeply for all the hard work and long hours you put into CRM. I hope you will see fit to turn over the duties to someone else, or maybe a small conglomerate of people that will be able to continue this labor of love and legacy of work so that it can continue to thrill all who visit the site and revel in it's wonderful nostalgia!!!

I also forgot to include my thanks to Daniel, I too have spent much time on the site.

Rick, I will definately continue to finish scanning my info to contribute to anything dealing with the memories of some great racing and great tracks in our state.

I'm a Colorado racer who knows how to do web publishing and maintain a web site. I'm not sure who I need to contact to get approval to take it over and maintain it. The only contact I am aware of is Dan Berner, who I don't know nor know how to contact.

We should not let this site go away because of the great history and the history that has yet to come.

I can be contacted at 719-310-2588 or [email protected].

Thank you.

I have spent many very happy hours reading and learning about past drivers several who are no longer with us and it would be a terrible shame to let it all go. When I had back surgery it was a blessing as I was able to spend countless hours on this wonderful site when I was unable to leave the house. Please consider letting the racing community assist with maintaining the site and if we need to I am sure that we would all contribute money to help with the cost of it as well.

Thanks very much for all the great stories and pictures, I am forever grateful!

Dan,
I spent many joyful hours looking through the great collection of pictures and
stories, many of which I gave to Paul Bredenberg to submit. I learned alot about many of our racing forefathers and also remembered many good times that I myself spent with many of these great personalities. Many of these legends have past on but their history has lived on through this great site. I hope that somene can take Dan's great idea and build on it, it would be a shame to let all this research go to waste. I for one will miss the site as I spent many enjoyable hours visiting.

I wish Dan the best and thank you for all you have done for the racing community and especially myself with my Christmas drives.
Best of Luck
