CNS: Important info for the K&N event this weekend at CNS

CNS drivers and car owners spread the news...

Yes we will still have TEST & TUNES on Friday night as normal. If you race on Saturday you can leave your stuff in the pits overnight on Friday. (if you want to)

On Saturday the pits will open at 11AM and the track goes "hot" for the K&N Cars at noon. (full daily schedule will be posted later)

Beer Garden will be closed to the public on Saturday but open on Friday night for Test & Tunes.

Drivers: If you show up to the pits on Saturday after 12 (noon) you will need to enter in the East entrance of the pits.

I haven't seen the event schedule yet but I think we normally run a full show on that night.

Yes, you are right about that. They are however rewarding points for 1, 2, and 3rd, fastest qualifiers.

Dave, there simply isn't time to run any DASHes. With the TV crews and the NASCAR folks the K&N race has to start at a certain time without fail. Just think, with a normal show the last main event usually starts around 9 or 10 depending on how quickly the other races were run. That's 1 to 2 hours too late for the K&N Cars to start. The K&N Cars don't run dashes either, qualifying and then the main event. It has to be that way so the K&N Race can start on time without the chance of things running long.

I was wrong about running the DASHes in the past. On the K&N night it's always just the mains due to the time restraints.

It's going to be a fun show and special requirements like these only happen on this one night. I think you should embrace it and come on out and have some fun! Come on... we want you there!

It cost us the same to bring out the truck for a 2 lap qualifier and a main as it does a regular night I think I'll save my money and go fishing!! I understand the hole tv thing and time issue maybe the track should not have so many classes! Just my opinion as a car owner!!!
