No this is the parents of former Sprint Car and Lakeside Modified drivers Chuck & Jim Starr. Al was a long time car owner, who fielded some of the best cars & drivers at Lakeside.

I am not related to this branch of the Starr's in anyway other than a passion for Stock Car Racing.

I think Rick Carelli won his first CARC Modified Championship drive Al Starr's Green #7.

Jack Graham also drove the Green #7 for several years before moving into the Pachello #19.

ahh, well congrats to them anyway Who knew it was such a common name

Rick did win his first Championship in Al's green #7, along with Jack Graham ,it was also driven by Merle Burrow,Bernie Sawin and Fritz Wilson although when Fritz drove it, the car was painted gold that year.
