NASCAR: Edwards 1st Nationwide Glen win

Carl Edwards driving the #60 Subway Ford won the Zippo 200 at Watkins Glen International. This was Edwards first race in the Nationwide series for 2012.

Edwards who started in the outside position of row 1 would not get the lead until there were only 10 laps remaining in the race. However a caution for Austin Dillon's blown tire with 2 laps remaining would spark a spirited battle on the restart with 2nd place Brad Keselowski. Edwards would fend off the challenge to win by 1.130 seconds.

"Obviously, he missed that last left-hander (Turn 6)," Keselowski said. "I pulled up beside his left-side door and went into (Turn 7) on Carl's outside, and he got loose and came up the track and hit me and put me in the wall there. "That kind of took away all my momentum. I didn't have a chance at it from there."
