Pit Tower/Chat box going away for now. - Auto Racing Forum

Our Pit Tower (i.e., Chatbox) is going away indefinitely. It turns out that the pit Tower chatbox software is a bit old and may be causing some problems for some BWR members.

Also, the Pit Tower has been using up 27% of our bandwidth, I guess its a real bandwidth hog. Which is odd because not too many people even post in it anymore. Just the fact that it gets loaded every time someone comes to BWR sucks up a lot of bandwidth.

If the Pit Tower were getting used by more members I would probably try to figure out a new solution but since it doesn't really get used I'm just going to discontinue it for now. Most people tend to chat in the forums themselves anyway so it's not like we are really losing out on a major feature or anything.
