RMLSA 4/29/12 - Hot Action at Icebreaker - Auto Racing Forum

The 2012 season kicked of at the I-76 Speedway Icebreaker Special with an awesome field of 17 cars.

The weather was great and Butch prepared a nice track.

Brent Rees in his #87 Yamaha R1 powered Lighting Sprint was the class of the field as he scored a convincing victory.

Rees had gained a large lead and was cruising to victory but a couple cautions tightened up the filed.

Troy Simpson #56 and the 2011 Champion Troy Ullery #1 put on a great show for 2nd place as Simpson edged Ullery.

Steve Becker scored a very solid 4th place and was righ behind Ullery and Simpson.

Despite getting caught up in a couple incidents Jeff Gieg rallied back to round out the top 5.

The complete results are as follows.

Heat 1 - 71A Auson Pribbenow, #18 Jeff Gieg, #87 Brent Rees, #26 Chris Crowder, #7 Scott Wilson, #96 Shane Stanley, #3 Rick Marchbank, #56 Troy Simpson, #39 Mike Snelling.

Heat 2 - #1 Troy Ullery, #5 Brandon Steele, #30 Scott Heikes, #31 Steve Becker, #24F Tim Snelling, #97 Bill Rousch, #11 Glenn Waterland, #69 Paul Babich

Hey Paul, the results Butch posted for the main are different then yours.

Also, where was Matt Martinez?

Geoff, I don't see any RMLSA results on Butch's site. Where are they at?

Geoff, Our scorer was in the booth with the I-76 scorers and this is what she gave me after the race. It appeared to be correct to me. Matt couldn't make it last week.

Geoff, You forgot the #3 car. 17 cars started the feature. 10 were running at the end 87,56,1,31,18,97,71,7,96,69. The 30,5,26,11,24,3,39 were DNF
