CLMA at El Paso and Las Cruces 9/16 & 9/17 - Auto Racing Forum

The Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series will be ending our 2011 season at two tracks that we have never been to on September 16th at El Paso Speedway Park and on September 17th at Southern New Mexico Speedway.

On Friday, September 16th the series will be heading to the state of Texas and the El Paso Speedway Park in El Paso, TX for the first time ever.

On Saturday, September 17th the series will make its inigural trip to the Southern New Mexico Speedway in Las Cruces, NM.

Both nights of racing will pay $1,200 to win and $225 to start

Royal Jones has secured a sponsor for the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series races at El Paso Speedway Park on September 16th and Southern New Mexico Speedway on September 17th. This sponsor will pay $75 to anyone that travels over 150 miles to these races. So anyone that travels over 150 will make a minimum of $300 to start the A-Main both nights.

Plus the CLMA DIRTcar Series already pays anyone that travels over 300 miles a minimum of $275 to start the A-Main. So with this extra bonus that Royal has secured anyone that travels over 300 miles will make a minimum of $350 to start the A-Main both nights.

There will be a dash for cash both nights that will pay $100 to the winner. The winner of the dash will draw a pill, 1 threw 8, to see how many cars will invert in the A-Main.

Only a few more days until the Championship Late Model Association DIRTcar Series comes to El Paso Speedway Park and Southern New Mexico Speedway for the first time in series history. The 2011 CLMA DIRTcar Series will be crowed this weekend. Who will it be?

John Kuchar of Henderson, CO took over the series points lead after he had two top 10 finishes at Aztec Speedway on Labor Day weekend. His son in law Scott Lewis also of Henderson, CO gave up the points lead for the the first time since the 3rd race of season after having a 8th place finish and a DNF at Aztec Speedway. Scott now trails John by only 24 points going into the last two nights of racing this season. Dave Garmann of Brighton, CO is only 94 points behind Kuchar so his mathmatically still has a chance to win the championship. Kuchar and Garmann have both won two CLMA DIRTcar Series Championships and Lewis is looking for his first so this is shaping up to be one of the closest points finishes in series history.

Just wanted let everyone know that transponders and raceievers will be required at both tracks. If you do not have them they will be for rent at the track.

Rental fee for raceceivers if $25.00 (or you can purchase the raceceiver for $100.00)

Pit gates open at 5:30 and races start at 7:45.

All concrete pads are reserved and pit meeting will be at 7:00 pm

There should be over twenty cars from atleast five states at both tracks this weekend! This should be another great weekend of super late model racing!
