I know it seems wicked fast but there are nights when the other cars have beat us. That #11 car has 140hp and i'm not sure about the #9 car but its probably in the same realm. I think we are just more consistent and when the car runs good then it's the fastest one out there. Some of the other cars only have maybe 90hp. I heard some grumbling the other night that my car was "cammed" or whatever but it's all stock, anyone is welcome to look it over. I ran lap times on the mini stocks one week and the hornets were within a couple tenths... i think we could run together but the classes run different lines and would bang into each other quite a bit... that's just my opinion though, it would be fun either way.

Yeah the hornets prolly can run together but there would be to many cautions i think. i ran a front wheel drive with the minis and i did pretty good but with the minis so different now days i dont think it would work.

I know at el paso they run the hornets as either front or rear wheel drive cars. from what I understand it works well with both.

I drive the #9 car at Ft Morgan. I have ran at El Paso and having a front whell drive racing with the rear wheel drives is a nightmare.... If you are into bumper cars then yes go ahead and mix them.... They even have a full size camaro that runs with the hornets..... There rules differ from Ft Morgan to a point..... Will never run my car again at El Paso.... Butch does have a nicer track where you can get some speed....

that's good to know, i thought about going down there but if it's like that... then i probably won't. I think their rules differ too, they have to run dashes, radios, and horns.... none of that makes sense to me. Why would you need a factory radio and a horn?

Come play on the pavement at i-25 one week. Its run pretty much like the rest of the classes. you get 2 and a half hot lapping sessions, then youll qualify, and then depending how well you qualify youll either race the dash or one of the 2 heat races. from there depending on car count and how you place in your heat youll either go directly into the main or into the LCQ / Bmain. We do still have the horn rule in effect, but visitor drivers are given a 1 week exemption on that rule. Come down and play if you guys have a week off

yeah. I think with driver you gotta hit 2100. Stock your car should weigh in right around 2600, so unless youve been doing some insane lightening, youll be fine.

Yes you do have to have ahorn and a factory radio... They also charge you a pit pass and an additional guest fee of $10 and you are always placed in the back of all races no matter where you finish... Some of the drivers are very friendly they have more hornets than I-76 when I was there they had a class of 10 and a couple of drivers told me that not everyone was there....

They say it is a great track for the driver..... But I preferred being able to go faster and not having to worry abot all the crashing there is no straight away only on the front... The track is D shaped

My car for this season is a 94 corolla, and I am gonna start building an 83 celica GT hatchback for next season. It will run as a hornet for one year and then I will beef it up into a ministock.
