NASCAR: Bodine steals one at Dover

NASCAR officials would make two attempts to get all the miles in for the Lucas Oil 200 at Dover International Speedway. After 2 red flags for rain, Mother nature would win that battle, but Todd Bodine won his with 35 other competitors.

Bodine would have his own trouble earlier in the race with a spin after starting in the 13th position. Bodine would battle back through truck traffic, but it was the call of crew chief Rick Guy to leave Bodine on the track and race mother nature and not stop with the leaders for fuel before the rain set in for the final time. This is Bodines first victory since 2010, 22nd over all win, and 1st at Dover.

Bodine in a hastily assembled make shift victory lane had this to say about the call to stay on the track after the first red flag, "We didn't have the best [truck Friday], but Rick made a great call," Bodine said. "I didn't realize what he was trying to accomplish, or how close we were on fuel, but it worked out. You don't like to win 'em this way, but you know what? I've lost 'em this way, so I'm going to take this one, and we're going to go to the house.
