Before anyone else drives several hundred miles, maybe you should be a little more truthful about your description of this car.

In regards to Modified 8's comments the engine started out as a Dave Capriotti engine (with receipts) but after dropping a valve the heads were replaced professionally with Victor Jr and new J&E pistons. We have spent well over 16k on the engine alone. The chassis is a 99 port city chassis and was professionally reclipped in 2002 by Junior Baxter. I think Mr. Modified came down here expecting to get a Ferrari for the price of a Pinto. The price is $8900 not $18900.

Thanks for clearing that up...Yes I was a sucker for taking your word on what was there over the phone and drove 800 miles to take a look. I dont know of any professional that would take a perimeter car and hack it into a "straight rail" as you said that it was on the phone. Those victor jr heads are Street rod heads, & dont forget to mention you took the good carb off and is not included.

Thanks for you honesty!
Im just trying to save someone else from making the same mistake I made by driving down there without all the facts.

When Mr. Modified initially contacted me his questions were about as limited as his first post and instead of, "Got a phone#?" he says "Got any spare parts?".

By the way Mr. Modified yes there are extra parts that go with this deal, I have a new five star left front fender, eight five on five wheels and tires and if this deal isn't sweet enough already I'll throw in that VDL carburetor that your crying about.

One more time Mr. Modified the price is $8900 not $18,900. If you want a new Port City chassis here is the number 1-800-472-2464 and when you speak with them try and work on your communication skills.
